STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: City Staff has reviewed public improvements for Northwest
Area Trunk Sewer Extension Phase 1 and find it in general conformance with
the standard specification for the City of Waukee.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE SE WESTOWN PARKWAY/R22
INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, on the 141h day of March, 2016, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of
Waukee, Iowa, entered into a construction contract with McAninch Corporation of Des Moines,
IA, for the construction of certain public improvements generally described as the SE Westown
Parkway/R22 Intersection Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on June 16, 2017:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and
adopted, and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully
completed in accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final
construction cost thereof is hereby determined to be $1,934,877.92, as shown in the report of the
Engineer.

We hereby certify that we have made an on -site review
of the construction of the Westown Parkway/1122
Intersection Improvement Project as performed by
McAninch Corporation.
As Engineers for the project, it is our opinion that the
work performed is in substantial accordance with the
plans and specifications and that the final amount of the
Contract is One Million, Nine Hundred Thirty -Four
Thousand, Eight Hundred Seventy -Seven and 92/100
Dollars ($1,934,877.92).
