STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: City Staff has reviewed public improvements for Northwest
Area Trunk Sewer Extension Phase 1 and find it in general conformance with
the standard specification for the City of Waukee.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE NORTHWEST AREA TRUNK SEWER
EXTENSION - PHASE 1
WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of October, 2016, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of
Waukee, Iowa, entered into a construction contract with Rogues Corporation of Ankeny, IA, for
the construction of certain public improvements generally described as the Northwest Area
Trunk Sewer Extension - Phase 1; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on June 16, 2017:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and
adopted, and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully
completed in accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final
construction cost thereof is hereby determined to be $995,385.41, as shown in the report of the
Engineer.

NORTHWEST AREA TRUNK SEWER EXTENSION — PHASE 1
WAUKEE, IOWA
We hereby certify that we have made an on -site review of the completed
construction of the Northwest Area Trunk Sewer Extension project as performed by
Rognes Corporation.
As Engineers for the project, it is our opinion the work performed is in
substantial accordance with the plans and specifications, and that the final
amount of the Contract is Nine Hundred Ninety -Five Thousand Three Hundred
Eighty -Five and 41/100 Dollars ($995,385.41).
