MEETING DATE: June 19, 2017
AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting July 10, 2017, as the date
of public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 301, Zoning
Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning and changing certain
property therein from PD-1 (Planned Development Overlay District) / C-
1A (Neighborhood Commercial District, PD-1 (Planned Development
Overlay District) / C-4 (Office Park Commercial District), and C-4
(Office Park Commercial District) to C-1 (Community & Highway
Service Commercial District) [Blue Grass Commons]
FORMAT: Consent
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The applicant, Solid Ground, LLC, has requested the
City consider rezoning approximately 10.5 acres from PD-1/C-1A, PD-
1/C-4, and C-4 to C-1. The property is located north of SE University
Avenue and east of SE Alice’s Road.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of setting the public
hearing date for July 10, 2017 to discuss this matter further.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
