AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving release of cash bond
related to The Shops at Kettlestone North Plat 1
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City required a cash bond prior to approval of
the final plat for The Shops at Kettlestone North Plat 1 related to
outstanding public improvement items. The improvements have been
completed and the City Council has previously accepted the public
improvements associated with the final plat.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: At this time, the fund in the amount of $62,031.25 can
be released.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 17-
APPROVING RELEASE OF CASH BOND ASSOCIATED WITH THE SHOPS
AT KETTLESTONE NORTH PLAT 1
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City has previously approved the final plat for The Shops at Kettlestone
North Plat 1; AND,
WHEREAS, the Developer, ARAC, Inc. provided a cash bond for outstanding public
improvements associated with The Shops at Kettlestone North Plat 1; AND,
WHEREAS, the outstanding public improvements associated with The Shops at
Kettlestone North Plat 1 have been completed and the City can now release the cash bond
securing the completion of said improvements to the Developer in the amount of
$62,031.25.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 19th day of June 2017, that the cash bond related to public
improvements for The Shops at Kettlestone North Plat 1 can be released back to ARAC,
Inc. in the amount of $62,031.25.
