AGENDA ITEM: On proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost
[South Outfall Sewer Project]
FORMAT: Public Hearing
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The South Outfall Sewer Project consists of the
labor, materials and equipment necessary for 10,600 linear feet of 8-inch
through 36-inch diameter sanitary sewer tunneled in place, manholes,
excavation and backfill, surface restoration and miscellaneous associated
work, including cleanup.
The south Outfall Sewer will be located along Sugar Creek between
Sugar Creek Golf Course and Painted Woods Drive.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM
OF CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE SOUTH
OUTFALL SEWER FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA.
At 5:30 P.M. on the 211` day of August, 2017, the City Council of Waukee will, in
the Council Chambers at the City Hall, 230 W. Hickman Road, Waukee, Iowa,
hold a hearing and said Council proposes to adopt plans, specifications, form
of contract and estimate of cost and, at the time, date and place specified
above, or at such time, date and place as then may be fixed, to act upon
proposals and enter into a contract for the construction of the following
improvements:
SOUTH OUTFALL SEWER
Construct South Outfall Sewer including all labor, materials and
equipment necessary for 10,600 linear feet of 8-inch through 36-inch
diameter sanitary sewer in open cut, 220 linear feet of 36-inch diameter
sanitary sewer tunneled in place, manholes, excavation and backfill,
surface restoration and miscellaneous associated work, including
cleanup.
The South Outfall Sewer will be located along Sugar Creek between Sugar Creek
Golf Course and Painted Woods Drive.
At said hearing, the City Council will consider the plans, specifications,
proposed form of contract, and estimated total cost for the project, the same
now being on file in the office of the City Clerk, reference to which is made for
a more detailed and complete description of the proposed improvements, and
at said time and place the said Council will also receive and consider any
objections to said plans, specifications, estimate of cost and form of contract
made by any interested party.
This notice is given by order of the Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa.
