closing of Walnut Street from 6th Street west 125 feet to the alley
between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, August 26,
2017, for the purpose of a street party [Chops Old Bank]

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The owners of Chops Old Bank request a temporary
street closure for a street party on 08/26/2017. They have also applied
for an extended outdoor service area permit and a noise permit.

RESOLUTION 17-
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WALNUT STREET FROM 6TH
STREET WEST 125 FEET TO THE ALLEY BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 4:00 P.M.
AND 11:59 P.M. ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 26, 2017, FOR THE PURPOSE OF A
STREET PARTY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the owners of Chops Old Bank request the temporary closing of Walnut Street
from 6th Street west 125 feet to the alley between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. on
Saturday, August 26, 2017, for the purpose of a street party; AND,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Code of Iowa §364.12(2)(a), public ways and grounds may be
temporarily closed by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
21st day of August, 2017, that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Walnut Street from 6th
Street west 125 feet to the alley between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Saturday,
August 26, 2017, for the purpose of a street party.
