HomeMy WebLinkAbout2017-08-24-F03 Bravo Real Estate Rezoning - SET PH AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: August 24, 2017 AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting September 5, 2017, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning and changing certain property therein from A-1 (Agricultural District) to M-1 (Light Industrial District) and PD-1 (Planned Development Overlay District) [Bravo Real Estate, LLC] FORMAT: Motion SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The applicant, Bravo Real Estate, LLC on behalf of several property owners, has requested the City Council consider rezoning certain property from A-1 Agricultural District to M-1 Light Industrial District and PD-1 Planned Development Overlay. The request for rezoning has been signed by the owners of more than 50% of the area of the real estate included within the boundaries of the proposed rezoning. The property is generally located west of T Avenue and both north and south of Hickman Road (Highway 6). FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of setting the public hearing date for September 5, 2017 to discuss this matter further.
