Department of Transportation for the 105" Street/Alice's Road I-80 Interchange
Project with a decrease in the contract by $10,000.00.

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
Reason:
• Increase working days —Add Price/Adjust Liquidation Damages
o The contractor was required to place additional revetment which took 5 additional days to
place. Also the fencing contractor was required to install additional fence which took 5
additional days to install. Therefore 10 working days are being added.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
Decrease the contract by $10,000.00

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT:
RECOMMENDATION: Approve Contract Modification No. 29 to the Iowa Department of
Transportation for the 105"' Strect/Alice's Road I-80 Interchange Project with a
net decrease in the contract of $10,000.00.
