AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution amending a certain address within
the City of Waukee from 3301 Warrior Lane, Clive, Iowa to 825 N Warrior
Lane, Waukee, Iowa
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City completed the annexation of property located on
the east side of Warrior Lane, approximately one mile north of Hickman Road
in 2016. Previously the property was located in the City of Clive.
Staff has been working with the property owner on establishing City services
as well as a plan for a transition to an address within the City of Waukee.
Based upon Waukee’s addressing system, staff is recommending the address
of the property be changed to 825 N. Warrior Lane, Waukee, Iowa.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The property owner is agreeable to the address change.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

APPROVAL OF AMENDING A CERTAIN ADDRESS WITHIN THE CITY OF
WAUKEE FROM 3301 WARRIOR LANE, CLIVE, IOWA 50325 TO 825 N
WARRIOR LANE, WAUKEE, IOWA 50263
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City approved the annexation of a certain property on October 3, 2016
(Resolution 16-419) and legally described on attached Exhibit A; AND,
WHEREAS, the property currently has an address of 3301 Warrior Lane, Clive, Iowa
and the property owner has requested that a new address within the City of Waukee be
provided; AND,
WHEREAS, the City is recommending an address change of 825 N Warrior Lane,
Waukee, Iowa which is consistent with the City’s address grid.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 18th day of September 2017, that the local address of 3301 Warrior
Lane, Clive, Iowa be amended to 825 N Warrior Lane, Waukee, Iowa. A copy of this
resolution shall be filed of record with the Recorders Office of Dallas County, Iowa.
