AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
October 16, 2017, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend
Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning
certain property from R-2 & R-4 to PD-1/R-2, R-4 to R-2, and R-2 to R-
4 (Spring Crest Plat 3)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 25.44 acres from R-2, One & Two Family Residential
District and R-4, Row Dwelling and Townhome District to PD-1 Planned
Development Overlay District and R-2, One & Two Family Residential
District; R-4, Row Dwelling & Townhome District to R-2, One & Two
Family Residential District; and R-2, One & Two Family Residential
District to R-4, Row Dwelling & Townhome District. The subject
property is located south of Hickman Road and west of Cedar Street and
Spruce Street.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
October 16, 2017, to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
