AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Engineering Services
Amendment No. 1 with Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC [Maple
Grove Place Wetland Permitting Services]
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City has previously approved an engineering services
agreement related to environmental work associated with the continual
greenbelt and storm water management ponds within Kettlestone and
specifically along the east side of Waco Place. In order to complete the
environmental components of the area, additional work is necessary including
wetland delineation and a cultural resource study.
It is anticipated that the costs of the environmental work will be recouped as a
part of a future connection fee associated with the planned regional retention
pond.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $10,500.00

RESOLUTION 17-
APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL
CONSULTING SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF WAUKEE AND FOTH
INFRASTRUCTURE AND ENVIRONMENT, LLC [MAPLE GROVE PLACE WETLAND
PERMITTING SERVICES]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, in order to further develop the proposed greenbelt and regional storm water retention
system within the Kettlestone Development as well as to provide needed information for business
decision makers, it is necessary to perform additional environmental studies within the Kettlestone
Development; AND ,
WHEREAS, the City entered into an agreement with Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC, for
mitigation plan and Section 404 Permit, mitigation site evaluation, alternatives analysis, acoustic bat
survey and project meetings; AND,
WHEREAS, the proposed Amendment No. 1 includes additional services including wetland and WUS
delineation and a phase I cultural resource survey.
WHEREAS, the Amendment No. 1 to the engineering services agreement has been reviewed and
approved by the Waukee City Attorney.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement for Professional Consulting Services between the City of Waukee
and Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC [Kettlestone Environmental Services], attached hereto
as Exhibit A, is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 2nd day of October 2017.
