AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Public Storm Sewer
Easement [Phillips-Hamilton Inc.]
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The developer for the Springcrest Development has
acquired an easement for the extension of a storm sewer off-site to the
adjoining property to the south to allow for the extension of the storm sewer
into the existing natural drainage way.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution

RESOLUTION 17-
APPROVING STORM SEWER EASEMENT ASSOCIATED [PHILLIPS-
HAMILTON INC.]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, a preliminary plat has been approved for the Springcrest Residential Development;
AND,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to acquire a storm sewer easement from an adjacent land owner for
purposes of constructing a storm sewer extension through the adjacent property.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
2nd day of October, 2017, that it hereby approves the storm sewer easement across property
owned by Phillips-Hamilton Inc.
