AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
October 16, 2017, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend
Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning
certain property from A-1 to R-2, PD-1/R-2, R-3, R-4, and C-1
(Stratford Crossing)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 213.84 acres from A-1, Agricultural District to R-2, One
& Two Family Residential District; PD-1, Planned Development Overlay
District / R-2, One & Two Family Residential District; R-3, Multi-
Family Residential District; R-4, Row Dwelling and Townhome District;
and C-1, Community & Highway Service Commercial District. The
subject property is located north of Hickman Road and west of N. 10th
Street.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
October 16, 2017, to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
