HomeMy WebLinkAbout2017-10-16-J01Y Fridley Theaters Rezoning_Set PH AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: October 16, 2017 AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of November 20, 2017, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning certain property from C-1 to C-1B/PD-1 (Fridley Palms Theater) FORMAT: Motion SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of approximately 15.16 acres from C-1 Community and Highway Service Commercial District to C-1B Large Scale Commercial District/PD-1 Planned Development Overlay. The property is located north of Hickman Road between Dartmoor Drive and Westgate Drive and is the proposed site of the Fridley Palms Theater. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for November 20, 2017, to further discuss the proposed changes.
