AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving inclusion of an employee
to the wage or salary rates for non-represented City of Waukee employees as
of July 1, 2017
FORMAT: Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Due to misclassification of an employee as seasonal rather
than part-time, Waukee Public Library employee Paige Morford was not
included in the July 1, 2017 Non-Represented Wage/Salary list approved by
Council on June 27, 2017.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: City staff recommends adding Paige Morford to the FY2018
wage or salary rates, at a wage of $14.56 per hour.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 17-
APPROVING INCLUSION OF AN EMPLOYEE TO THE WAGE OR SALARY RATES
FOR NON-REPRESENTED CITY OF WAUKEE EMPLOYEES AS OF
JULY 1, 2017
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, on June 27, 2017, the Waukee City Council approved and established wage and
salary rates (corrected) for non-represented City employees (Resolution #17-308); AND,
WHEREAS, due to the misclassification of an employee as seasonal rather than part-time, an
employee was mistakenly not included as part of said wage and salary rates;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
6th day of November, 2017, that it hereby approves the inclusion of Paige Morford to the wage or
salary rates for non-represented City of Waukee employees as of July 1, 2017, with a wage of
$14.56 per hour, effective July 1, 2017.
