AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Agreement for
Professional Consulting Services with Foth Infrastructure &
Environment, LLC [Waukee Civic Campus Environmental Services]
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
The City has signed a purchase agreement for approximately 240 acres of property
located at the southwest corner of 6th Street and University Avenue for the future
development of a civic campus. The City is scheduled to close on the first portion of the
property in 2018. As a part of the City’s due diligence, City staff is recommending an
environmental study of the property be completed to determine that there are no issues
with the property from an environmental aspect prior to performing on the purchase
agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $23,700.00
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the resolution.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 17-
APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES WITH
FOTH INFRASTRUCTURE AND ENVIRONMENT, LLC [WAUKEE CIVIC CAMPUS
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, City staff recommends retaining the services of Foth Infrastructure and Environment,
LLC, for environmental services related to the proposed acquisition of property located at the
southwest corner of 6th Street and University Avenue; AND,
WHEREAS, the engineering services agreement has been reviewed and approved by the Waukee City
Attorney.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Agreement for Professional Consulting Services with Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC
[Waukee Civic Campus Environmental Services], attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 6th day of November, 2017.
