AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
November 20, 2017, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to
amend Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by
rezoning certain property from A-1 to M-1 (Interstate 80 Industrial Park)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 67.66 acres from A-1 Agricultural District to M-1 Light
Industrial District. The property is located south of Interstate 80 and
west of R-22 (Ute Avenue). The property in question is currently going
through the annexation process and it is expected that the annexation will
be completed prior to the proposed public hearing date.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
November 20, 2017, to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
