AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving contracts [Alice’s
Road Gas Main Relocation Project, Materials]
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Two separate bid packages were awarded for the
Alice’s Road Gas Mail Relocation Project, Materials; therefore, two
contracts are presented for approval.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:$147,674.72 total for
both bid packages.
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: As the contracts are for construction material only,
there is no bond requirement or approval.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution approving contract for Package A to
Consolidated Pipe & Supply Co. of Valleypark, MO, in the amount of
$117,749.28 and for Package C to Border States Industries, Inc., of
Cedar Rapids, IA, in the amount of $29,925.44.

RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACTS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, STATE
OF IOWA:
That the construction contracts executed for the Supply of Materials for the Alice's Road
Gas Main Relocation Project, and as described in detail in the plans and specifications heretofore
approved, and which have been signed by the Mayor and Clerk on behalf of the City be and the
same are hereby approved as follows:
Contractor: Consolidated Pipe & Supply Co. of Valleypark, MO
Amount of bid: $117,749.28
Portion of project: All costs for Bid Package Alternate A
Contractor: Border States Industries, Inc., of Grand Haven, MI
Amount of bid: $29,925.44
Portion of project: All costs for Bid Package Alternate C
PASSED AND APPROVED this 4th day of December, 2017.
