AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving the mayor’s
appointment of a representative and alternate to the Walnut Creek
Watershed Management Authority Board of Directors

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The Walnut Creek Watershed Management
Authority allows for a representative and alternate to be appointed to the
Board of Directors.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The Mayor will announce his appointments during the
Council meeting.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the appointments.

RESOLUTION 17-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF A REPRESENTATIVE AND
ALTERNATE TO THE WALNUT CREEK WATERSHED MANAGEMENT
AUTHORITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2014, the Waukee City Council approved entering into a
28E agreement related to the Walnut Creek Watershed Management Authority
(Resolution #14-049); AND,
WHEREAS, according to the provisions of the 28E agreement, the City may appoint a
representative and an alternate to the Walnut Creek Watershed Management Authority
Board of Directors;
WHEREAS, Mayor William F. Peard appoints _________________ as the
representative and ______________________ as the alternate to the Walnut Creek
Watershed Management Authority Board of Directors.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 18th day of December, 2017, that it hereby approves the Mayor’s
appointments to the Walnut Creek Watershed Management Authority Board of Directors.
