AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving pay grade reclassification
[Youth Services Associate, Waukee Public Library]
FORMAT: Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Upon review of the duties, external comparable position
wages, and internal wages, it was determined that the position of Youth
Services Associate should be classified at Pay Grade 14 on the City of
Waukee 2015-16 Non-Represented Compensation Plan. The Waukee Public
Library Board of Trustees approved the reclassification of the position on
January 19, 2016.

COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The Waukee Public Library Board of Trustees and the City
of Waukee Human Resource Director recommend the approval of
reclassification of the position Youth Services Associate to Pay Grade 14 on
the City of Waukee 2015-16 Non-Represented Compensation Plan.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 16-
APPROVING PAY GRADE RECLASSIFICATION [YOUTH SERVICES ASSOCIATE,
WAUKEE PUBLIC LIBRARY]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, following a review of the duties, external comparable position wages, and internal
wages, the Waukee Public Library Board of Trustees approves the reclassification of the Youth
Services Associate position to Pay Grade 14; AND,
WHEREAS, the Waukee Public Library Board of Trustees and Human Resource Director
recommend approving the pay grade reclassification.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa on
this 26th day of January, 2016, that it hereby approves the pay grade reclassification for Youth
Services Associate, Waukee Public Library.
