Refunds will be issued by check or will be credited back onto the credit card used to reserve the facility. A $5.00 nonrefundable handling fee will be deducted from the refund. If ball field reservations are cancelled in the event of rain, all attempts will be made to reschedule. Additional set-up time may be requested for a fee of $25.00 per hour. Audio/visual equipment can be rented for an additional $50.00 Non-profit groups will be allowed to reserve the Waukee Community Center for free, two dates each month, Monday through Thursday. Any usage outside the Monday through Thursday timeline will be subject to rental rates. To be considered a non-profit group of Waukee, the organization must be a 501(c)(3) corporation duly formed and existing pursuant to the State of Iowa which maintains its principal place of business in the City of Waukee, Iowa, or if a group is a Waukee senior group (members age 62 or older) consisting of no less than 20 members who are residents of the City of Waukee. Weekend shelter rentals can be reserved six months in advance from the reservation date. Weekday shelter rentals can also be reserved in advance; however reservations are not accepted until after March 1st for the months of March – July and after August 1st for the months of August – February.
