AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving construction
drawings for Waukee Central
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
The public improvements associated with Waukee Central include the construction of pedestrian
ramps for sidewalks, utility services, and a 12-inch watermain. In addition to the public
improvements the applicant will install a portion of SE Laurel Street which will be private street
that will be built to a public standard. The subject property is located south of Hickman Road and
between SE Westgate Drive and SE Dartmoor Drive. The subject property is approximately 10.57
acres in area.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: At this time a majority of staff comments have been
addressed and Staff is confident that the remaining comment will be addressed prior to the
Council meeting. Staff recommends approval subject to remaining staff comments.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution.

RESOLUTION 16-
APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR
WAUKEE CENTRAL
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, construction plans have been submitted to the City for Waukee Central;
AND,
WHEREAS, the construction drawings have been reviewed by the City Engineer and
City staff, and are found to be in general conformance with section §303 - Land
Subdivision Ordinance of the Waukee Municipal Code.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa on this 5th day of July, 2016 that the Construction Drawings for Waukee Central be
approved subject to remaining staff comments.
