AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of Change Order No. 1 to Joiner Construction Co.
Inc. for the Fox Creek Park Project decreasing the contract in the amount of
($46,068.00).
FORMAT: Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Change Order No. 1 to Joiner Construction Co. Inc.
reflects the adjustments made to the addition of Common Excavation and the
deduction of Borrow Fill soil. Early on in the construction project a second
survey was requested and completed by Bishop Engineering and a new survey
model was developed. The new survey model determined that extra soil was
not needed to be trucked onto the site. Common excavation was increased as
it was determined that the soil on site would have to be moved further than
originally anticipated but would ultimately save the City money. The
quantities completed to date have been reviewed and agreed upon by the
contractor, City of Waukee Staff, and Genus Landscape Architects.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: Change Order No. 1 will
decrease the Contract Total by ($46,068.00) bringing the Contract Total including this change order to
$657,724.10.
