AGENDA ITEM: On the proposition of the issuance of not to exceed $1,720,000 General
Obligation Refunding Bonds of the City of Waukee, State of Iowa (for
Essential Corporate Purposes)
FORMAT: Public Hearing
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The proposed General Obligation Refunding Bonds
are to be used for a current refunding of the Series 2008B and Series
2008C bonds. Current interest rates for 2008B is 4.105% and for 2008C
4.323%, with an anticipated savings of approximately $108,000 over the
remaining 6 years of the bond life.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: Not to exceed
$1,720,000

NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA, ON THE MATTER OF
THE PROPOSED ISSUANCE OF NOT TO EXCEED $1,720,000
GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS OF THE
CITY (FOR ESSENTIAL CORPORATE PURPOSES), AND
THE HEARING ON THE ISSUANCE THEREOF
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Waukee, State of
Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the 1st day of August, 2016, at 5:30 P.M., in the Council
Chambers, City Hall, 230 West Hickman Road, Waukee, Iowa, at which meeting the Council
proposes to take additional action for the issuance of not to exceed $1,720,000 General
Obligation Refunding Bonds, for essential corporate purposes, to provide funds to pay the costs
of refunding or refinancing outstanding debt, including General Obligation Bonds, Series 2008B
and General Obligation Bonds, Series 2008C.
At the above meeting the Council shall receive oral or written objections from any
resident or property owner of the City to the above action. After all objections have been
received and considered, the Council will at the meeting or at any adjournment thereof, take
additional action for the issuance of the Bonds or will abandon the proposal to issue said Bonds.
This notice is given by order of the City Council of the City of Waukee, State of Iowa, as
provided by Section 384.25 of the Code of Iowa.
