AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of resolution approving Service Agreement
Proposals with The Waldinger Corporation for inspection and
maintenance of HVAC systems within certain city buildings
FORMAT: Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: For the past several years, the City has retained the
services of The Waldinger Corporation for HVAC inspections and
maintenance for City Hall and Public Safety buildings. The Library and
Public Works HVAC maintenance is handled by different vendors.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $5,465.00 total cost for
both buildings. The annual fee for City Hall has not changed from last
year, but the Fire and Police agreement have both increased by $304.00
due to the addition of CO and CO2 sensor maintenance.
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: City staff is satisfied with the service provided by The
Waldinger Corporation in the past and recommends using that company
for another year.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 16-
APPROVING SERVICE AGREEMENT PROPOSALS WITH THE WALDINGER
CORPORATION FOR INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE OF HVAC SYSTEMS
WITHIN CERTAIN CITY BUILDINGS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, for many years, the Waukee City Council approved Service Agreement
Proposals with The Waldinger Corporation for HVAC inspections and maintenance for
Waukee City Hall and Waukee Public Safety facilities; AND,
WHEREAS, City staff is satisfied with the work done in the past by The Waldinger
Corporation and recommends retaining the services of The Waldinger Corporation for another
year;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this 1st day of August, 2016, that the Service Agreement Proposals with The Waldinger
Corporation for inspection and maintenance of HVAC systems within certain city buildings is
hereby accepted and approved;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the City
Administrator is hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City.
