Grand Prairie Parkway — Street Lighting and find it in general conformance
with the standard specification for the City of Waukee.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE GRAND PRAIRIE PARKWAY - STREET
LIGHTING I-80 TO SE UNIVERSITY AVENUE
WHEREAS, on the 20'' day of July, 2015, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Waukee,
Iowa, entered into a constriction contract with Iowa Signal, Inc., of Grimes, IA, for the
construction of certain public improvements generally described as the Grand Prairie Parkway -
Street Lighting I-80 to SE University Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on August 23,
2016:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and
adopted, and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully
completed in accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final
construction cost thereof is hereby determined to be $1,073,338.98, as shown in the report of the
Engineer.

We hereby certify that we have made an on -site review of the completed construction of the above
reference project as performed by Iowa Signal Inc.
As Construction Administrators for the project, it is our opinion that the work is in substantial
accordance with the plans and specification and that the final amount of the contract is One Million
Seventy -Three Thousand Three Hundred Thirty -Eight and 98/100 Dollars ($1,073,338.98).
