MEETING DATE: September 6, 2016
AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting October 3, 2016 as the date of
public hearing on the annexation of consenting properties by the City of
Waukee, Iowa with consideration of the annexation taking place immediately
thereafter [Shadow Creek Estates, LLC and Currier Property]
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received petitions from John and Brenda Currier
and Shadow Creek Estates, LLC, owners of approximately 24 acres of
property located east of Warrior Lane and currently within the City of Clive.
Per the 28E Agreement with the City of Clive, Clive has agreed to severe
these properties from its City limits and allow them to be annexed into
Waukee.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend setting a public hearing date for
October 3, 2016 to further discuss the annexation proposal.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
