AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting a Public Hearing to
consider the disposal of real property by sale to Hubbell Realty
Company, for September 19, 2016 pursuant to Iowa Code 364.7 (2016)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: At the August 15th City Council Meeting, the City
Council approved a Development agreement with Hubbell Realty
Company regarding improvements to Westown Parkway. As a part of
the development agreement, there was reference made to a request by
Hubbell Realty Company to purchase the approximately 10.11 acre
parcel of property owned by the City of Waukee on the south side of
Westown Parkway.
The subject property was acquired as a part of a land swap with the
Waukee School District.
Prior to consideration of Hubbell Realty’s proposal for acquisition of the
property, the City must hold a public hearing.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of setting the public
hearing for September 19, 2016 to further discuss the sale of the City
owned property to Hubbell Realty Company.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
