AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting October 3, 2016, as the
date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 301, Zoning
Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning and changing certain
property therein from A-1 (Agricultural District) to R-2 (One and Two
Family Residential District) [Fox Creek Estates Plat 10]
FORMAT: Consent
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The applicant, Shadow Creek Estates has requested
annexation of approximately 14 acres of property previously in the City
of Clive into the City of Waukee. A public hearing to discuss the
annexation is scheduled for October 3, 2016. Pending approval of the
annexation, the property owner has requested the City consider rezoning
the property to R-2 One and Two Family Residential District to allow for
the development of 25 single family lots.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of setting the public
hearing date for October 3, 2016 to discuss this matter further.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
