HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-09-19-J01S Indi Run Rezoning - SET PH AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: September 19, 2016 AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting October 3, 2016, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning and changing certain property therein from A-1 (Agricultural District) to R-2 (One and Two Family Residential District) and R-4 (Rowhouse and Townhome District)/PD-1 (Planned Development Overlay) [Indi Run] FORMAT: Consent SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The applicant, Solid Ground LLC has requested the City consider rezoning approximately 27.7 acres to a combination of single family residential and rowhouses. The concept plan indicates a total of 56 single family lots and 22 row house lots that would be developed as detached rowhouses. The property is generally located on the west side of Warrior Lane just north of the Waukee YMCA. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of setting the public hearing date for October 3, 2016 to discuss this matter further.
