CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION
MEETING DATE: October 3, 2016
AGENDA ITEM: Public Hearing on the annexation of consenting properties by the City of
Waukee, Iowa, with consideration of the annexation taking place
immediately thereafter (Shadow Creek Estates and Currier Property).
FORMAT: Public Hearing
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City of Waukee has received voluntary petitions
from Shadow Creek Estates, LLC and John and Brenda Currier for a
total of approximately 23 acres of property that is located east of Warrior
Lane and north of the current Waukee City Limits. The subject property
was recently located within the City of Clive. The City of Clive has
taken action to sever the property from their City Limits in order for it to
be annexed into the City of Waukee pursuant to the existing 28E
agreement with the City of Clive.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend holding the public hearing.
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the public hearing
