AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Contract Modification No. 23 to the Iowa
Department of Transportation for the 105"' Street/Alice's Road I-80 Interchange
Project with a decrease in the contract of $7,241.10.

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
Reason:
The City of West Des Moines will install the pole, mast arm, and signs at station 21079+60 as part of
their grade and pave project to the south. The pole and mast arm was inadvertently paid for on the
interchange contract as a complete installation. This item is to reduce the payment of labor and
equipment to install the pole, mast arm, and signs. In turn only the materials will be paid on this contract.
10% was added to the materials costs for handling, storage, and transporting to the job site.

$7,241.10
