AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving construction
drawings for The Shops at Kettlestone North Plat 1
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
The public improvements associated with The Shops at Kettlestone North Plat 1 include
extensions of sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer for a commercial/office/residential
development located north of Ashworth Road with portions on the east and west sides of Grand
Prairie Parkway. In addition to the extension of utilities the plans identify paving of SE Tallgrass
Lane to Grand Prairie Parkway, pavement of a portion of SE Esker Ridge Drive, and an extension
of SE Parkview Crossing Drive from Westown Parkway to the south.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: At this time a majority of staff comments have been
addressed and Staff is confident that the remaining comment will be addressed prior to the
Council meeting. Staff recommends approval subject to remaining staff comments.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution.

RESOLUTION 16-
APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR
THE SHOPS AT KETTLESTONE NORTH PLAT 1
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, construction plans have been submitted to the City for The Shops at
Kettlestone North Plat 1; AND,
WHEREAS, the construction drawings have been reviewed by the City Engineer and
City staff, and are found to be in general conformance with section §303 - Land
Subdivision Ordinance of the Waukee Municipal Code.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa on this 3rd day of October, 2016 that the Construction Drawings for The Shops at
Kettlestone North Plat 1 be approved subject to remaining staff comments.
