STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. has reviewed the 2016 Ashworth
Road Xenia Water Main Improvements and find it in general conformance
with the standard specification for the City of Waukee.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 16-
ACCEPTING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
[2016 ASHWORTH ROAD XENIA WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, Halbrook Excavating of Ankeny, IA, has completed the public
improvements associated with 2016 Ashworth Road Xenia Water Main Improvement
Project; AND,
WHEREAS, City Engineers have reviewed the improvements constructed as part of
2016 Ashworth Road Xenia Water Main Improvement Project and confirm that said
improvements constructed as a part of this project are in general conformance with the
Standard Specifications of the City of Waukee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 171' day of October, 2016, that it hereby accepts the public improvements
associated with 2016 Ashworth Road Xenia Water Main Improvement Project.

2016 ASHWORTH ROAD XENIA WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS
WAUKEE, IOWA
We hereby certify that we have made an on -site review of the completed
construction of the 2016 Ashworth Road Xenia Water Main Improvements project
as performed by Halbrook Excavating.
As Engineers for the project, it is our opinion the work performed is in
substantial accordance with the plans and specifications, and that the final
amount of the Contract is Fifty -Eight Thousand One Hundred and 00/100 Dollars
($58,100.00).
