RESOLUTION 16-
APPROVING PURCHASE OF GPS TRACKING SYSTEM FROM
BLUE OCEANS SATELLITE SYSTEMS OF ST. JOHN’S, NL [WAUKEE
PUBLIC WORKS]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee Public Works Department recommends the purchase
of GPS Tracking System from Blue Oceans Satellite Systems of St. John’s, NL,
Canada, in the amount of $22,888.63 equipment installation and $29.09 per unit
monthly costs; AND,
WHEREAS, the proposed purchase will be used as part of a GPS pilot program to
improve fuel efficiency, accountability, and safety.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 17th day of October, 2016, that it hereby approves purchase of GPS
Tracking System from Blue Oceans Satellite Systems of St. John’s, NL [Waukee Public
Works].
