PREPARED BY: Beth Richardson REVIEWED BY: John Gibson PUBLIC NOTICE INFORMATION — NAME OF PUBLICATION: DATE OF PUBLICATION: THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA RESOLUTION 16- APPROVING CONSENT FOR GEOLOGICAL SURVEY [WITTERN REALTY] IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County; AND, WHEREAS, on August 23, 2016, the Waukee City Council approved a Professional Service Agreement with Veenstra & Kimm, Inc., for Joint Waukee/West Des Moines Water Works Source Water Availability Study (Resolution #16-371); AND, WHEREAS, a Consent for Geological Study has been obtained from Wittern Realty, granting permission for the completion of certain subsurface geological studies on property located in the study area. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 7t' day of November, 2016, that it hereby approves the Consent for Geological Survey from Wittern Realty as it pertains to the Source Water Availability Study. Lyon Rick Peterson CONSENT FOR GEOLOGICAL SURVEY The undersigned hereby grants permission to the West Des Moines Water Works and the City of Waukee to have Layne Christensen (Layne) complete certain subsurface geological studies on property owned by the undersigned and/or its affiliates, and located along the Raccoon River corridor from South Wh Street in West Des Moines to a point East of Booneville. In granting this permission, the undersigned agree that the permission is strictly limited to the initial electrical resistivity surveywork necessary to assess the potential for groundwater sources to be identified alongthe Raccoon River, as described more fully in the attached correspondence from Veenstra & Kimm to Wittern Realty, Inc., dated September W, 2016.
