HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-11-14-D01D Kettlestone Heights Plat 1_CDs AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: November 14, 2016 AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving construction drawings for Kettlestone Heights Plat 1 FORMAT: Resolution SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The public improvements associated with Waukee Market Place Plat 1 include extension of public water main, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer for a 53 lot single family and 90 townhome lot residential development. Utilities for the townhome portion of the development will not be public utilities. In addition to utilities the plans include the construction of two new public streets, SE Maxwell Lane and SE Sawyer Pointe. The property is located south of SE Westown Parkway at the intersection of SE Westown Parkway and SE Parkview Crossing Drive. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: At this time a majority of staff comments have been addressed and Staff is confident that the remaining comment will be addressed prior to the Council meeting. Staff recommends approval subject to remaining staff comments. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution. ATTACHMENTS: I. Proposed Resolution II. Project Area Identification Map PREPARED BY: Andy Kass, Senior Planner REVIEWED BY: PUBLIC NOTICE INFORMATION – NAME OF PUBLICATION: DATE OF PUBLICATION: THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA RESOLUTION 16- APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR KETTLESTONE HEIGHTS PLAT 1 IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal Organization; AND, WHEREAS, construction plans have been submitted to the City for Kettlestone Heights Plat 1; AND, WHEREAS, the construction drawings have been reviewed by the City Engineer and City staff, and are found to be in general conformance with section §303 - Land Subdivision Ordinance of the Waukee Municipal Code. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa on this 14th day of November, 2016 that the Construction Drawings for Kettlestone Heights Plat 1 be approved subject to remaining staff comments. ____________________________ William F.
