Phase I Pump Conversion Project]

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: As part of the City’s strategy to reduce water
consumption the Parks & Recreation Department put together a plan to
convert the irrigation that is currently running off of City water to a
system that pumps from the pond at the Kettlestone Commons Ponds that
are located just north of Holmes Murphy. Funding for this project will
come from the Kettlestone Greenbelt Phase II project. The City should
recoup the upfront costs of conversion project within the first 4 years by
eliminating the use of City water for irrigation around the trail amenities
north of Holmes Murphy.
Three Quotes were received:
Iowa Irrigation Corp. $58,220.00
Leibold Irrigation $61,165.00
Meston Brothers Irrigation $74,425.00
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $58,220.00

CONVERSION PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
That the following quote for certain public improvements described in general as Kettlestone
Phase I Pump Conversion Project and described in the Request for Quotes that was provided to
vendors be and is hereby accepted, the same being the lowest responsible quote received for such
work, as follows:
Contractor: Iowa Irrigation Corporation of Huxley, IA
Amount of quote: $58,220.00
