contract amount by $6,120.10.
FORMAT:Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Change Order No. 1 is for costs associated with
relocating an electric service from SW to NW corner of GPP and Ashworth Road.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The net result of this
Change Order increases the contract price in the amount of $6,120.10.
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT:
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the change order.

Attached please find a detailed Change Order for City Council approval on August 2, 2021.
Change Description:
Item CO 8.1 Electric Service Mobilization
o Electric Service location relocated from SW to NW corner of GPP and Ashworth.
Item 8.16 Conduit, 2 in., HDPE, SDR 13.5, Joint Utility Trench
o Electric Service location relocated from SW to NW corner of GPP and Ashworth.
We have reviewed the submitted quotes from Alliance Construction and they appear to be in
order with current industry pricing. If City Staff concurs with this pricing, we recommend the City
of Waukee Increase the contract price in the amount of $6,120.10 to complete the additional work
associated with Change Order #1 . If you have any questions, please contact me.

THE CONTRACT IS CHANGED AS FOLLOWS: Electric service for the traffic signals needs relocated from the SW to the NW corner because of the power source relocation. This
includes 400 lf of #2 copper wire and 2" rigid conduit in a LS bid item and an additional 100 LF of 2" conduit to complete the service relocation.
