FRAUD
§605.1 Fraud. It is unlawful for any person to commit a fraudulent
practice as defined in § 714.8 of the Code of Iowa. A person who does any of the
fraudulent practices as defined in § 714.8 of the Code of Iowa is guilty of fraudulent
practice for purposes of this chapter where the amount or value of property or services
involved does not exceed $200.00.
§305.2 Penalty. Any violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be
considered a simple misdemeanor as provided in Chapter 602 of this Code.
§605.3. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
§605.4. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance
shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
§605.5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
