OFFICER AND PROVIDING THE PUNISHMENT THEREFOR.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
§619.1 Refusing to Assist Officer. Any person who is requested or
Ordered by any magistrate or peace officer to render the magistrate or officer assistance
in making or attempting to make an arrest, or to prevent the commission of a criminal act,
shall render assistance as required. A person who, unreasonably and without lawful
cause, refuses or neglects to render assistance when so requested is guilty of a violation
of this section.
§619.2 Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
§619.3 Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this
ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof not
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
§619.4 Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final
passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
