SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:Construction of the Little Walnut Creek North Trunk
Sewer Extension – Phase 1 Completion project includes all labor, materials and equipment
necessary for approximately 3,100 linear feet of 24-inch diameter sanitary sewer in open cut and
installed within existing casing pipe, 90 linear feet of 24-inch diameter sanitary sewer augured in
steel casing, manholes, excavation and backfill, surface restoration and miscellaneous associated
work, including cleanup.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF CONTRACT
AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE LITTLE WALNUT CREEK NORTH TRUNK
SEWER EXTENSION – PHASE 1 COMPLETION FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA.
At 5:30 P.M. on the 9th day of August, 2021, the City Council of said City will hold a hearing and
said Council proposes to adopt plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost and,
at the time, date and place specified above, or at such time, date and place as then may be
fixed, to act upon proposals and enter into a contract for the construction of the following
improvements:
LITTLE WALNUT CREEK NORTH TRUNK SEWER EXTENSION – PHASE 1 COMPLETION
Construct Little Walnut Creek North Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 1 Completion
including all labor, materials and equipment necessary for approximately 3,100 linear feet
of 24-inch diameter sanitary sewer in open cut and installed within existing casing pipe, 90
linear feet of 24-inch diameter sanitary sewer augured in steel casing, manholes, excavation
and backfill, surface restoration and miscellaneous associated work, including cleanup.
The Little Walnut Creek North Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 1 Completion will be located
along Warrior Lane, south of Meredith Drive and north of NE Badger Lane, in Waukee, Iowa.
At said hearing, the City Council will consider the plans, specifications, proposed form of
contract, and estimated total cost for the project, the same now being on file in the office of
the City Clerk, reference to which is made for a more detailed and complete description of the
proposed improvements, and at said time and place the said Council will also receive and
consider any objections to said plans, specifications, estimate of cost and form of contract
made by any interested party.
Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b)
and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted with two different options
for public participation: 1) Members of the public wishing to attend in person may do so in the
Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall. 2) Members of the public wishing to participate
