AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting September 20, 2021 as the date
of public hearing on the vacation of easement [Waukee United Methodist
Church]
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: At the time, Warrior Ridge Development was platted, a
public storm water detention easement was acquired to allow for detention of
stormwater within the plat. The City recently approved a site plan for Waukee
United Methodist Chruch, which will be located on the property that includes
the existing easement. A new easement for stormwater detention will be
acquired with the development of the church and the existing easement will no
longer be needed.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of setting the public
hearing date for September 21, 2021, to discuss the vacation of the existing
easement.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
