AGENDA ITEM: Public Hearing on the annexation of consenting property by the City of
Waukee, Iowa [Phillips-Hamilton Inc./Waukee Commons LC]
FORMAT: Public Hearing
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received petitions for annexation from two
property owners located south of 300th Street and west of the property that the
City is in the process of purchasing for the future civic campus. The
annexation would include approximately 240 acres. The proposed annexation
is a voluntary annexation and sets outside of any surrounding urbanized area.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Pending Council consideration of the annexation, City staff
will file the necessary documents with the Iowa Secretary of State and Dallas
County Recorder’s Office to complete the annexation process.
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the Public Hearing
