Parking, and by amending section 68.09, No Parking Zones as specified

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The amended Ordinance includes new subdivision streets
and adjustments to the ordinance reflecting existing parking conditions.

ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 68, PARKING REGULATIONS, CITY OF
WAUKEE, IOWA, BY AMENDING SECTION 68.04, ANGLE PARKING, AND BY
AMENDING SECTION 68.09, NO PARKING ZONES AS SPECIFIED BELOW
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee has determined that certain public streets should be added
to or eliminated from the parking regulations.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1. Waukee Municipal Code Chapter 68, Parking Regulations, Section 68.04, Angle
Parking is hereby amended by repealing, replacing, or adding the following sections:
§68.04 Angle Parking
Repeal and replace section 6. with the following:
6. On the east side of 7th Street from the south side of Maple Street to a point 160
feet south of Maple Street and from the north side of Walnut Street to a point 90
feet north of Walnut Street
Add the following new section:
On the north side of Walnut Street from 6th Street to 7th Street and on the south
side of Walnut Street from Ashworth Drive to a point 165 feet west of the west
side of 6th Street
Section 2. Waukee Municipal Code Chapter 68, Parking Regulations, Section 68.09, No
Parking Zones, is hereby amended by repealing, replacing, or adding the following sections:
§68.09 1. Both Sides of North-South Streets. No parking is permitted at any time on
either side of the following streets:
Add the following new section:
5th Street from Ashworth Drive to Maple Street
Repeal section M. (1):
M. (1) From September through May, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.,
15-monute parking is allowed on the west side of 4th street from a point 61 feet
south of the south line of Locust Street to a point 150 feet south of the south line
of Locust Street; and 15-minute parking is allowed on the west side of 4th Street
from a point 399 feet south of the south line of Locust Street to a point 4,454 feet
south of the south line of Locust Street.

Repeal and replace section L. with the following:
L. 3rd Street from Ashworth Drive to Northview Drive
P. 10th and North 10th Street to NW 10th Street
§68.09 2. East Side of North-South Streets. No parking is permitted at any time on
the east side of the following north-south streets:
Add the following new sections:
SE Moraine Court
SE Florence Drive
NW Rosemont Drive
NW Rosemont Circle
NW Prairie Rose Lane
NW Frescott Circle
NW Sandy Hollow Circle
SE Glacier Trail
NW Pike Circle

W. 3rd Street, from Laurel Street to Windfield Parkway between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00
p.m., Monday through Friday

§68.09 3. West Side of North-South Streets. No parking is permitted at any time on
the west side of the following north-south streets:
Add the following new sections:
NW 17th Street
SE Bluestem Drive

Repeal sections DD. and VV.:
DD. 3rd Street, from Laurel Street to Windfield Parkway
VV. Kaylin Drive
Repeal and replace section EE. with the following:
EE. 5th Street
§68.09 4. Both Sides of East-West Streets. No parking is permitted at any time on
either side of the following east-west streets:
Add the following new sections:
SE Pleasant View Drive from Grand Prairie Parkway to SE Waco Place
NW Venture Drive
SE Esker Ridge Drive from SE LA Grant Parkway to SE Bluestem Drive
Repeal section C.:
C. Cherry Street
§68.09 5. North Side of East-West Street. No parking is permitted at any time, except
as otherwise noted, on the north side of the following streets:
Add the following new sections:

§68.09 6. South Side of East-West Streets. No parking is permitted on the south side
of the following east-west streets:
Add the following new sections:
NW Sandy Hollow Circle
NW Crabtree Lane
Denlee Drive
Repeal section TTT.:
TTT. Locust Street west of 10th Street
Repeal and replace section EE., FF., and CCC. with the following:
EE. Laurel Street from Warrior Lane to 10th Street
FF. Locust Street
CCC. Walnut Street from the east side of 7th Street to a point 285 feet east of the east
side of 7th Street
Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of
this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance
as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage, approval
and publication as provided by law.
