FORMAT:Public Hearing
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The project is to construct a neighborhood park,
located near Serenity Drive and Ashworth Road, in the City of Waukee
Iowa. The construction consists of approximately 8000 cubic square
yards (CY) grading, 1200 SY of Shared use Path (PCC or HMA per bid
alternate), 2500 SY of modified subbase, 550 SY of PCC sidewalk,
Pickle Ball Court, Prefabricated restroom/shelter structure, 400 Linear
Feet (LF) of sanitary sewer service, 550 LF of water service, drainage
structures, miscellaneous grading, site restoration, survey, traffic control,
and other associated work. City will install playground equipment and
surfacing. Construction of the project is anticipated to begin in October
2021 and will be substantially completed by June 1st 2022.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
SUGAR CREEK PARK PROJECT
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above
referenced public improvements at 5:30 p.m. on September 20th, 2021, at the Council Chamber
in City Hall, 230 West Hickman Road, Waukee, Iowa 50263. At said hearing, any interested
person may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements.
Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b)
and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted with two different options
for public participation: 1) Members of the public wishing to attend in person may do so in the
Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall. 2) Members of the public wishing to participate

In-person meetings are subject to change under certain circumstances, including but not
