RESOLUTION 2021-373
APPROVING SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR ADDITIONAL SERVICES NO.2
WITH SNYDER & ASSOCIATES, INC. [UTE AVENUE & ASHWORTH ROAD
INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, on August 3, 2020 (Resolution #2020-292), the Waukee City Council approved an
agreement with Snyder & Associates for Professional Consulting Services related to the Ute
Avenue and Ashworth Road Intersection Improvement Project; AND,
WHEREAS, on June 21, 2021 (Resolution #2021-274), the Waukee City Council approved a
Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with Snyder & Associates for Professional Consulting Services
related to the Ute Avenue and Ashworth Road Intersection Improvement Project; AND,
WHEREAS, following completion of design and bidding, further coordination took place
between City staff and the Hamilton Ridge developer. This coordination resulted in a request to
revise a portion of Ashworth Road design from a rural section to an urban section near the west
project limits, station 118-36 and 125+30. An urban section will require re -design of the grading
and roadway typical section, revised water main design, added storm sewer and issuance of a
design revision to the Contractor.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
7th day of September, 2021, that it hereby approves the Supplemental AgreepWt for Additional
Services No. 2 with Snyder & Associates [Ute Avenue & Ashworth ersection
Improvements Project].
