AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution amending a certain address for Lot 2
of Hamilton Ridge Plat 1 within the City of Waukee from 1020 Hamilton
Road to 1025 Hamilton Road
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: A scrivener’s error has been found for the address assigned
to Lot 2 in Hamilton Ridge Plat 1. The current address cannot be utilized, as it
is not consistent with the numbering on the street side it is located on.
Changing the address for Lot 2 will correct this error. The lot is currently
undeveloped.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The requested change in address still fits within the confines
of the addressing grid and staff does not have any major concerns with the
proposed change. Upon approval of the City Council, the address change
would be recorded with the County and all records including E911 databases
would be updated with the new address.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2021-
APPROVAL OF AMENDING A CERTAIN ADDRESS FOR LOT 2 OF
HAMILTON RIDGE PLAT 1
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee approved the final plat for Hamilton Ridge Plat 1 on
September 20, 2021, and recorded said final plat with the Dallas County; AND,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there was a scriveners error related to Lot 2 of
Hamilton Ridge Plat 1; AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 18th day of October 2021, that the local address of 1020 Hamilton
Road be amended to 1025 Hamilton Road. A copy of this resolution shall be filed of
record with the Recorders Office of Dallas County, Iowa.
