AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
November 15, 2021, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to
amend Chapter 169, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by
rezoning certain property from A-1 (Agricultural District) to K-MF
Stacked Med (Kettlestone Multi-Family Stacked Medium District) and
K-MF Stacked High (Kettlestone Multi-Family Stacked High District)
[ARAC, LLC]
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 0.643-acres of property from A-1 to K-MF Stacked
Medium and K-MF Stacked High. The property is located south of SE
Westown Parkway and east of SE Parkview Crossing Drive. The
applicant has received the necessary consent of property owners within
250-feet.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the City Council
setting the public hearing date for November 15, 2021 to discuss this
matter further. Council action to set the public hearing date does not
indicate support for the project. Rather, it represents the Council’s
willingness to allow the public hearing process to continue.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
