AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving mayor’s
appointment of the City of Waukee primary and alternate members to the
Polk County Joint 911 Service Board for the Year 2022
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The Polk County Joint 911 Service Board
appointment consists of primary, alternate and secondary alternate
members.
Mayor Clarke appoints Fire Chief Clint Robinson as the primary
member, Deputy Fire Chief Tomme Tysdal as alternate member, and
Fire Lt. Tony Clemen as secondary alternate member to the Polk County
Joint 911 Service Board.

RESOLUTION 2021-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE
PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE POLK COUNTY JOINT 911
SERVICE BOARD FOR THE YEAR 2022
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, the Polk County Joint 911 Service Board enables the orderly development,
installation, and operation of 911 emergency telephone communications systems and other
emergency 911 notification devices; AND,
WHEREAS, the Polk County Board of Supervisors shall maintain a Joint 911 Service Board;
AND,
WHEREAS, each political subdivision having a public safety agency serving territory within
the county is entitled to voting membership on the Joint 911 Service Board; AND,
WHEREAS, the Joint 911 Service Board shall annually submit a listing of members, to
include the political subdivision they represent; AND,
WHEREAS, the board members shall be the liaison between their jurisdiction and the board;
AND,
WHEREAS, Mayor Courtney Clarke appoints Fire Chief Clint Robinson as the City of
Waukee primary member, Deputy Fire Chief Tomme Tysdal as alternate member, and Fire
Lt. Tony Clemen as secondary alternate member to the Polk County Joint 911 Service Board.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this 15th day of November, 2021, that it hereby approves the Mayor’s appointment of
members to the Polk County Joint 911 Service Board for the Year 2022.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the member, alternate member or secondary alternate
member shall attend board meetings on behalf of the City of Waukee.
